I build WordPress sites with you on a call every week, so by launch you already know how to change it yourself.
Most WordPress sites end up as a black box. Not on purpose, and usually not because anyone did anything wrong. It's that the person who built it is the only one who ever saw how it went together, and you weren't there when it happened.
So it works fine, right up until you want to change something. Then you find out a two-minute edit isn't yours to make. You own the domain, the hosting, the login, all of it, and you still have to ask.
Here's the part that actually costs you: after a while, you stop asking. There's a change you want, it's small, and it isn't worth the email and the three-day wait and the line item. So you let it go. Then you let the next one go. A year later the site is describing a business you don't run anymore, and nobody decided that. It happened one skipped request at a time.
You should be able to change the thing you bought.
Every plan runs the same three phases. The middle one is what stretches:
Exact timelines per plan are in the table below. That all assumes you send me what I ask for when I ask for it. If you go dark on me for three weeks, it's your timeline plus three. I can't compress the part where you decide things.
I know what it's like to be handed a website you can't touch, because I've handed people one. Early on I built sites the normal way, delivered them, and watched perfectly good sites sit frozen because the owner didn't know which part was safe to change.
My first job out of grad school was county extension agent, which is a profession whose entire description is teaching somebody to do a thing while standing next to them doing it. I've worked that way for about twenty-five years. The tools changed completely. The method didn't.
So here's the actual promise: you won't need me. I'd rather build you something you can run yourself than something that keeps you on my calendar.
You book the call and send your URL at the same time. Both free. I build a mockup from your existing site: your colors, your content, your photos. You look at a real design before you commit to anything.
We refine that design and settle which pages you're getting. Price is set by page count, so you know the number before we start building.
I build between calls. Each week you review three or four finished pages and I show you how to change them yourself. By the time we launch, you've been editing your own site for a month.
| Nothing Changes | You Build It With Me |
|---|---|
| You email someone to fix a typo | You fix the typo |
| Adding a photo means asking for help | You drop it in a form and it sizes itself |
| You don't know what your site says about you to an AI | Your site is built so AI can read and cite it |
| One person understands how your site works, and it isn't you | You've been editing it yourself for a month before launch |
That's the whole point. You stop being locked out of a site you own.
Price is set by page count, not by the hour, and the schedule is published before you start. Same ladder we use on every build.
| Plan | Pages | Timeline | Investment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | 15 | 6 weeks | $6,000 |
| Grow | 24 | 9 weeks | $9,000 |
| Scale | 35 | 14 weeks | $14,000 |
| Authority | 49 | 18 weeks | $18,000 |
No. You need to be the person who can decide. I'll handle which platform, which plugins, and how it's put together. That's my job and it isn't a democracy.
That's the advice I'd most like people to stop repeating. WordPress gets hacked when nobody's managing it. Yours gets a management plan and redundant backups on two separate systems, so a bad day means restoring to the state you were in before it happened. It's been a long time since I've had to.
It can, and I throw a lot of it away when it does. The draft comes from your existing writing, then you edit it, then it gets a second pass. AI gets you to a first draft fast. Judging whether the draft is any good is still the job.
An hour a week, plus reviewing three or four pages between calls. It's live sessions, not homework.
Then you hire someone else. Everything is in your name and it's standard WordPress, not something proprietary I invented.
Book the call and send your URL at the same time. Both free. I'll build a design from your existing site so you can see the actual thing before you decide anything.
No charge for the call or the mockup.
